On Wednesday December 23rd, 2009 around 4:45pm the Stanford Heights Fire Department along with Midway Fire Department for an additional engine company, the Colonie Village Fire Company for the FAST (firefighter assist search team) and Colonie EMS were activated for a reported structure fire at the New Horizon Stables on Pearse Road in the town of Colonie.
The Town of Colonie recognized multiple firefighters at the annual firefighter of the year dinner. We would like to Congratulate Kirk Hulbert for being the Stanford Heights Fire Department’s 2013 firefighter of the year. Congratulations FF Kirk Hulbert
The weather tuesday evening held out for yet another successful open house at Stanford Heights’ station 2.
This past week has been a particularly busy one for the members of Stanford Heights.
On Wednesday July, 2 several severe thunder storms left areas of Stanford Heights inundated by flash flooding.
NISKAYUNA – Ruby Tuesday in Mohawk Commons was forced to be evacuated on Friday night.
According to the Stanford Heights Fire Chief five people were transported to the hospital.
On Saturday May 3rd the Boght Community Fire District opened the doors to its new headquarters to the public for the first time. Members of Stanford Heights along with numerous other departments and community leaders attended the open house to celebrate.
At approximately 7:30 pm on Friday May 2 the Stanford Heights FAST team was activated for a structure fire on Fermac St.
On Tuesday March 4 Firefighters from Niskayuna and Stanford Heights responded to the call on Maple Lane. Upon their arrival they found flames coming through the roof and declared a working fire. About all that is left are the outside walls. No one home at the time and no one was injured. The cause is still under investigation.
